The Bearded Goat

The idea of the Bearded Goat was to create a classy dive bar that was open for all to enjoy, from all walks of life.  A place to unwind that offered great service while still feeling like a neighborhood’s extension of one's home (away from home).  Not only did the guys want to support local community in the way of products, but also in how they opened their doors for local groups to meet and plan, as well as support charity opportunities that gave back to the city and neighborhood.

In 2019, the second Bearded Goat location opens its doors in the historical Revolution Mill at 2001 Yanceyville Street.  Although the setting and aesthetic is a slight shift from the South End location, the welcoming community spirit is still a top priority.  Each location is unique in their offerings, with South End being more of a neighborhood feel with draft beer along with canned and bottled beer, liquor and wine.  Revolution Mill takes advantage of its size to offer more games, more gathering space and offers a wider selection of canned and bottled beer along with liquor and wine.

Philosophy

We want everyone to come in and enjoy themselves. To always have a great time and know that every time they come in, they’re going to be met with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.  We believe in the spirit of hospitality and our guest do too. When you leave, we want you to only take with you great memories but also new friends that make this city feel a little more like a community.
